First I would like to state that this is not a self portrait. Several people have asked this. I am still working on the under-painting in some areas, this will take a while to finish due to my very sore thumb on my painting hand.

Skateboarder run over
Last night, while walking home. I had a skateboarder run me over. Now he is coming down a pretty good sized hill, so he's going fairly fast. I did not see or hear him, so he plowed into me. I have a bruise on my breastbone, two skinned up knees, A ripped pair of nice pants, a broken toe, and a broken and ripped off nail on my thumb. I have nothing against skateboarders, but they should really watch were they are going.

Lunar Eclipse
Last nights total lunar eclipse from here in Olympia, WA. WAS BEAUTIFUL!! I had a perfect view, so all my moon and weather "praying" worked out. I am most certain this will show up in a painting. I only wish that all my friends on the east coast could have seen it, but they were getting SNOW. Well I'm heading back into my studio, so till next time..................................

New Series
Well today has been a very busy day for me in my studio. I am working on a new series of paintings. The series is titled " Because of Wichita" there will be quite a few in this series. I will not post any images of this series on the internet, they will be unveiled on June 21, 2008 when I have my open studio. The image in the background is of one of my prints, made from hand-cut lino and hand drawn leaves on the bottom. The bird image is from a dead bird I saw on one of my walks.

Olympic National Park / Forest
I returned from another mini road trip. I went to the Olympic National Park. Stayed at the Kalaloch Lodge in the cabins right on the bluff. Experienced every type of weather known to humans, in less than a 10 hour period, with the exception of tsunami, tornado and cyclone. Ran into some elk and deer. I found some more beautiful rocks and some driftwood. Stopped at a visitor center in Forks, met this wonderful woman who told stories from her tribe ( Quileut), handed down to her from her Grand Father.

Mt. Baker
I returned last Sunday from a trip to Mt. Baker. I went with a friend and it was a blast. The snow was awesome, like being IN a snow globe. I took lots of interesting photos; one in particular was of ice crystals that looked like a white crystal forest, VERY BEAUTIFUL. I am leaving once again Tuesday with another friend for Olympic National Park, so check back for photos.
